Obamaism

African Americans Are Still Under the Spell of Obamaism, Democrats and the Liberal Left by voting for Biden and Kamala Harris

Obamaism: The Beginning.

In order to understand the origin of Obamaism and how it came to be entrenched in the minds of the African population, you have to first look at the man, how he gained recognition and his rise to power. Although former Democratic  and United States President Barack Obama, was elected to the Illinois state senate in 1996, very little was known about him until he campaigned for, and was elected to the United States Senate in 2004. Obama gained national recognition after he was entrusted to convey the essential features of the Democratic address at the Democratic National Convention that year. The nucleus of Obamaism was germinated.

Who is Barack Obama?

Barack Obama is the son of a Kenyan father (African) of humble lineage. He won a scholarship to study in the United States where he met and married Obama’s caucasian mother, an American citizen. Barack Obama was schooled in both Islamic and Catholic institutions while living with his mother in Indonesia. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Barack-Obama#ref

Educated at Harvard, recognized as one of the most prestigious universities in the world, and naturally endowed with the ‘gift of gab’, it was not that difficult for Obama to grab and hold the attention of audiences whenever he spoke. In a country where black people have been undermined, victimized and castigated for ages, Barack Obama was like a Black Moses coming to take them out of the projects into the suburbs. African-Americans were in need of an influential role model and Barack Obama came on the scene at the opportune time. The advent of Barack Obama winning the Presidency in 2008  can be likened to Christians looking forward to the coming of the Messiah. Such was the impact of Barack Obama on black people that they would have followed him to hell and back in their need to identify with his achievements.

Effects of Obamaism on the US 2020 Presidential Elections.

Whether or not his policies were considered sound by some, former President Obama received very little negative press. His education, demeanor and ability to interact with people at all levels, both domestically and internationally made Obama a popular speaker. This trait was used to the advantage of the Democratic Party to assist in influencing undecided voters in the 202 elections. President Elect Joe Biden was former President Obama’s deputy (vice-president). Therefore, African-Americans who were still enamored with the idea of a president of color, were inclined to listen to and follow the advice of Obama. They see Joe Biden as an extension of Barack Obama, whom they still adored. Having selected a person of color as his running mate, Joe Biden perpetuated the ideology of Obamaism, thereby indirectly influencing African-American voters. Many voters were not so much concerned with the policies, but more so with whom they were associated. Events that were unfolding at that time also contributed to the revitalization of Obamaism.

Obamaism vs Trumpism: The Role of the Media

Unlike Obama, President Donald Trump has been under attack via the media unlike any other president in this country’s history.  The media & the Tech industry that is almost exclusively controlled by the liberal left which align themselves with the democratic party including  CNN, MSNBC and your largest newspapers (for what is left of this industry), Google/Youtube, Amazon, Twitter were all against President Trump.

While it was obvious that President Donald Trump was proud of his achievements and found nothing wrong with singing his praises, many people overlooked the positives and highlighted the negatives of his presidency.

Notwithstanding that he received some unflattering coverage from the media, President Trump has been one of the most popular presidents in American history. People the world over looked forward to his speeches, and, while we can agree that he does not always follow protocol, he did not camouflage his thoughts with ‘pretty words’. He spoke without fear of reprisal and did what he thought was best for the country. However, in 2020; an election year, with private conversations being leaked, racial tensions running high and the media minutely scrutinizing and reporting every action or inaction, regardless of the significance, he was seen in a negative light. By not condemning outright the death of an African-American at the hand of a white policeman, he was branded a racist.

Racism as a Factor in the 2020 Elections

Black people have been led to believe that Trump is a racist.  While this may very well be true, there isn’t anything that Trump has said that is specifically racist toward African Americans or African people. Some things maybe should not have been said by a president publicly and may have been insensitive  but not necessarily racist without knowing his true intent at the time he stated these things.  Here is a list from the USA today of the “racist” things said by Trump during his presidency.

Groups that were undoubtedly racist (e.g. Proud Boys,) were aligned to President Trump  in the media although he specifically stated that he didn’t know who they were. At the same time, African Amiercans voted for a man who, without question, had  aligned himself with men who were uncompromisingly racist individuals.

Another mitigating factor in favor of the Democrats is that of Obama being a ‘black”, former president coming out in support of Biden/ Harris created an air of familiarity to the African-American population. President Trump had no such support.

What “Black” Voters Don’t Know About Biden

Joe Biden was the central architect of the 1994 Crime Bill responsible for the beginnings of mass incarceration of black people. States were rewarded with more funding for higher conviction rates. Billions in Federal Grants were allotted to build more prisons and to hire more law enforcement officers, resulting in the arrest and imprisonment of more black men for minor offences. Many have died and some are still lost in the system to this very day.

In 2012, there were a series of lynchings that occurred in Delaware that went virtually unnoticed by the mainstream media. During this time, Biden’s son Beau was attorney general of the state and, as this was also a time that Biden was on the campaign trail with Obama, investigations into these murders were never launched as hate crimes which would have garnered national attention then.

Biden had boasted that his home state of Delaware sided with the South which supported segregation.  “we (Delawareans) were on the South’s side in the Civil War.” He deliberately inserted himself as a proud supporter of the South by using the pronoun we!

As a young politician he had made racist remarks which many appeared to have conveniently forgotten or elected to ignore. “I do not buy the concept, popular in the ’60s, which said, ‘We have suppressed the black man for 300 years and the white man is now far ahead in the race for everything our society offers. In order to even the score, we must now give the black man a head start, or even hold the white man back, to even the race,’” he told a Delaware newspaper in 1975. “I don’t buy that.”  Although he apologized after the elections, to use an old, hackneyed saying; ‘a leopard doesn’t change its spots.’

He was proud of his approval by George Wallace, a man who vowed to stand “in the schoolhouse door,” before he allowed integration of public schools in Alabama. Wallace as governor, carried out his threat when he personally blocked the path of two black students in their attempt to register at the University of Alabama.

Obamaism and the Biden /Harris Combination

While Kamala Harris is an intellectual in her own rights, she was not chosen by Biden solely due to her qualification and experience. The most mitigating factor in her choice is her ‘color!’ America was in turmoil due to the number of irrational police killings of African-American males. People took to the streets, cities and towns were being burnt, businesses were being torched and looted, the Civil Rights movement was being revitalized in the form of a new movement: “Black Lives Matter” (BLM)). Many thought the President’s reaction to the chaos on the streets were inappropriate. The BLM movement revived the fantasy of ending racism in America. This time more whites were sympathetic towards blacks, so Biden capitalized on this fever that had taken over the nation. He realized that his presidential hopes teetered on his choice of running mate. ”

Taking into consideration that Harris had “embarrassed” Biden in the primaries, she would not have been his first choice. It is believed that Biden was under pressure from the ‘far left’ members of the Party to not merely select someone of color, but to choose a female whom they believe will promote their ideals; Kamala Harris.

Harris herself accused Biden of being a racist in one of their debates and lambasted him for speaking fondly about two former senators who were segregationists (James O. Estland of Mississippi and Herman E. Talmadge of Georgia) during a fundraiser some days before. Biden was reminiscing on a time when he said political opponents were civil to each other. However, his analogy was an affront to the African-American adult male and Harris was quick to pick up on it. Biden had stated:

““I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland,” Biden told the audience. “He never called me ‘boy,’ he always called me ‘son.” Biden seems to be losing his faculties otherwise he would have or should have realized that this was inappropriate as only “black” males were referred to as “boys,” regardless of how old they were.

Kamala Harris’ called out Biden on this anecdote during the debate, stating:

“I do not believe you are a racist, and I agree with you when you commit yourself to the importance of finding common ground,” Harris began. “But I also believe — and it’s personal, and I was actually very — it was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country.”

This was humiliating to Biden as it was obvious that he was being “chided” by his underling, Kamala Harris. Due to the close relationship Biden had and still maintained with Obama, and Harris being sanctioned by Obama, she automatically became the candidate of choice. You may also notice that Obama visited and canvassed for Biden and Harris in the states that were undecided,

He chose someone of color, regardless of how “little” the color was. Once again we got caught up in voting for someone “black.

  • Obama who is a mulatto of white American mother and Kenyan father descent who grew spent many years of his early life in Indonesia and went to high school in Hawaii and who has never experienced black life in America.
  • Kamala Harris who is a   quarter black whose mother is from India and her father a mulatto of part (black)Jamaican and white descent. She spent most of her early years in Canada, spent many years in India and has confessed numerous times to identifying as  “Asian”.  She identifies as “black” when politically convenient.

In a country whose very foundation is based on a system of racism, anyone you “vote” into office is going to have to also believe in this system of racism, no matter what “color” they are.
